Meet the organisations pitching and their projects!
Leadership Great South Coast – Indigenous War Memorial Mural Project
For many years the Heywood community and Indigenous elders have spoken of the achievement and sacrifice made by the Gunditjmara servicemen and women and how they could honour their heroic efforts. Their vision can now be brought to life through the application of a large-scale mural on the locally recognised Heywood Water Tower. The mural will proudly acknowledge the commitment of our Gunditjmara servicemen and woman while serving as a conversation piece that unites our community.

Kyeema Support Services – My Place Portland
It sounds like a simple thing for most of us — an independent life, living in a house that is set up for our purpose. But that is not the case for many people living with disabilities in the Portland community. Finding a house fit for their needs is not always so simple. So why not build two! To accompany these developments plans are underway for an attractive outdoor environment that includes an undercover barbecue area and seating to enhance social gathering between the residents and their family and friends.

Kyeema Support Services – My Place Portland
Beats Cycle For Hope was inspired by Paul Beattie who passed away 31st January 2013. His vision was to encourage people to take on challenges, live fit active lives and raise much-needed funds for cancer support programs and services. Paul recognised that carers were impacted greatly when caring for a loved one. It was his dream to provide programs that support the patient, their carer and the family. Random acts of kindness and YMCA & Snap Fitness Wellness programs provide a welcome respite from endless medical appointments and chemotherapy sessions for residents of Glenelg Shire.

Have you ever thought...
What are the best schooling options for my child with additional needs?
How do I advocate for my child to ensure they have the best opportunities to learn, grow and thrive at school?

All children have their own specific needs and there is no one size fits all approach. So if you are considering what options are best to suit your child’s additional needs then this online information session is for you.

Choose from the following workshop dates:
Session 1 | 27 October | 1pm – 3pm OR
Session 2 | 29 October | 9.30am-11.30am

Know your rights and the policies and standards that can inform your child's education
Get your child ready for their education journey
