The Glenelg Shire Council is currently preparing its Council Plan for the next four years (2018-2022).
Council prepares a new Council Plan after each election. The plans are made up of themes (broad areas of interest and importance), objectives (what we want to achieve) and strategies (how we will achieve them), which drive the direction of Council during that term. In practical terms, the direction helps Council to decide where it will invest its time and resources.
People of the Glenelg Shire will have the opportunity to raise issues they care about and contribute ideas for Council to consider during February and early March, through a series of workshops, activities, and the online engagement website Your Say Glenelg.
Community workshops will be held on the following dates:
- Casterton Council Offices on the 21st February from 6pm, and 22 February from 12pm.
- Heywood Council Offices on the 20 February from 6pm, and the 24th February from 12pm.
- Portland Drill Hall on the 20 February from 12pm, and the 23rd February from 6pm.
A copy of the previous Council Plan (2013 - 2017) is available to download below, and is also available for viewing at Council's Customer Service Centres in Portland, Heywood and Casterton.
