Welcome to the Glenelg Shire Council

Documents for Public Inspection

The Local Government Act 1989 and associated regulations require that the following registers and documents are available for public inspection:

  • Details of overseas or interstate travel undertaken in an official capacity by Councillors or any Council employee in the previous 12 months;
  • Agendas and minutes of Ordinary Council and Special Council Meetings other than those agendas and minutes relating to part of a meeting which was closed to members of the public under Section 89 of the Act;
  • Minutes of meetings of special committees established under section 86 of the Act and held in the previous twelve months;
  • Register of delegations kept under sections 87(1), 98(4) of the Act;
  • Register of interests kept under section 81 of the Act, public need to apply in writing in accordance with section 81(10); (Click here to download the application form)
  • Record of persons who inspect the register of interests - NB limited inspection rights section 81(13a);
  • List of all special committees established by Council and the purpose for which each committee was established;
  • List of all special committees established by Council which were abolished or ceased to function during the financial year;
  • Register of leases entered into by Council;
  • Register of authorised officers appointed under section 224(1A) of the Act;
  • A listing of donations and grants made by Council during the previous 12 months including the names of persons and the amounts received;
  • Summary of election campaign donation and copy of returns 62A(2) (2A) (2B) (2C) 62A(3);
  • Written record of an assembly of Councillors.
