Glenelg Shire Inclusive Volunteer Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2016 Glenelg Shire Inclusive Volunteer Awards

The awards are across two categories and are designed to recognise and acknowledge both individual volunteers with a physical, intellectual or psychiatric disability who demonstrate high levels of customer satisfaction and commitment to their workplace in their volunteering role. As well as Business’/clubs or groups that have a welcoming and friendly environment and provide excellent access into and within their premises promoting an inclusive environment for volunteers of all abilities.

Businesses and individuals can be nominated for the volunteer award by a member of the public showing appreciation for their contribution or by completing the entry form themselves.

The awards are open to all businesses operating in the Glenelg Shire regardless of size and to any individual with a disability currently volunteering.

Nomination close on Friday 11 November 2016.

How can I nominate?

Nomination forms can be completed online at Your Say Glenelg or download and complete a pdf nomination found at the bottom of this page. Alternatively a hard copy of the nomination form can be can collected from any of our Customer Service Centres in Portland, Heywood or Casterton. You can

When will the winners be announced?

The award winners will be announced at this year’s International Day of People with a Disability celebrations that will be held at the Portland Civic Hall on Friday 25 November 2016.
