Indoor Arena

Our 30x60M arena provides year round shelter from the elements for our horse community.

There arena is available for public use through the hours of 5:00am - 12:00am throughout the year. Bookings can be made by contacting Council via email at or by calling (03) 5522 2200 during business hours Monday to Friday. After hours please call 0438 295 244.

Bookings are necessary and advanced bookings are recommended.

Please read and become familiar with our arena terms and conditions as well as the rules regarding riding etiquette which must be adhered to when more than one horse is in the arena.

Arena must be kept clean and tidy, therefore please clean up after your horse when finished.

Indoor Arena Hire Fees

Type of Hire Cost
Hourly hire $15.00
Day hire for clinics - FULL DAY $130.00
Day hire for clinics - HALF DAY (max 5 hrs) $90.00

(Max booking of 3 hours for individual hirers)

Half day bookings are a maximum of 5 hours (8am -1pm or 1pm - 6pm)

Deposit of 50% of booking fee required at the time of booking. Cancellation fee applies of 25% of booking fee deposit paid.


Council encourages all riders have adequate insurance cover through their affiliated organisations/clubs. Riders are required to provide a copy of the certificate of currency. A copy of certificate or currency can be obtained from your affiliated club or organisation.

A copy of your membership card is also encouraged.

Instructors must have adequate cover through Equestrian Australia (EA) or alike that covers horse and rider during paid lessons. This will allow riders without insurance cover to hire the arena for private lessons.

Riders without insurance will need to pay a day levy of $10.

Conditions Of Hire

When Hiring the Indoor Riding Arena you agree to the rules of hire:

- If you need to tie your horse up inside the arena please use the appropriate tie up points
- Please DO NOT feed horses in the indoor arena
- Ensure suitable riding attire is worn i.e. approved footwear and helmet
- Clean manure and empty wheelbarrow into designated area
- Please shut the doors behind you slowly & ensure they are locked.
- Please turn off all the lights; wash bay, arena lights and outside flood lights.
- Please return the key to the lock box
- Please use the bins provided.
- Smoking is banned within the Indoor Riding Arena
- NO glass is to be taken on to the riding surface. Glass is to remain with the viewing area.

Riders, coaches and observers are to treat one another with courtesy and common sense at all times.

Be courteous to other hires’, and arrive slightly early to have time to saddle up get ready & to finish on time!

Failure to observe these rules may result in a permanent ban of the facilities.
