Australia Day
Congratulations to our 2013 Australia Day Award recipients
Australia Day, January 26, is the biggest day of celebration in the country and is observed as a public holiday in all states and territories.

There are so many great things about our country; the people, the land, our diversity, our indigenous cultures, our freedom and democracy and our enduring spirt of mateship and faireness.

That is why the Glenelg Shire helps you to recognise this day by hosting two (2) Australia Day Celebrations throughout the Shire (Portland & Casterton). Council also supports community organised activities in Heywood, Merino and Nelson.

If you wish to know more information about your local Australia Day Celebrations please phone Kylie Walford on (03) 5522 2294 or email kwalford@glenelg.vic.gov.au
