National Volunteer Week 13 - 19 May 2013  Printer Friendly

National Volunteer Week is the largest celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia, and provides an opportunity to highlight the role of volunteers in our communities and to say thank you to the more than 6 million Australians who volunteer.

Volunteers play an integral role in our Shire, lending their time and talents, for no reward or remuneration, to support, encourage and enhance the lives of others in the community.

To pay tribute to all volunteers in our community, the Mayor Cr Karen Stephens cordially invites all Volunteers from your organisation to a Volunteer Recognition Reception held throughout the Glenelg Shire during National Volunteer Week from 13 to 19 May 2013:
