Emergencies, whether they are caused by natural events such as a bush fire, flood or a severe storm can have a dramatic impact on our community. Other major emergencies for our community include the threat of a Influenza Pandemic, major industrial or transport incident and/or the loss of a major utility service such as gas or electricity.

Should any of these events occur, the Shire will activate its Emergency Management Plan. The Department of Human Services have released a range of information of what individuals can do during natural, such as:
