The Economic Development and Tourism Unit of Council brings together the functions of Business, Economic Development and Tourism.

To enable the objectives of the Economic Development and Tourism Unit to be met it is involved in many varied projects and activities including:
 
  • Promotion and publicity of the Shire
  • Identifying growth opportunities in target sectors
  • Working with businesses that will provide greatest economic benefit
  • Providing information and referral services
  • Advise on new business establishment
  • Provide a seamless response to new investment enquiries
  • Working with Local, State and Federal governments to deliver enterprise improvement programs
