Seal Boat Tour

Things to See and Do in Cape Bridgewater

  • Inspect the barren moonscape of the Petrified Forest and investigate the many theories as to how it was formed.
  • Get up close to the large colony of Australian Fur Seals by a 45-minute boat trip, or take the energetic 2-hour return walk to the seal-viewing platform where you can see the seals basking on the rocks and frolicking in the water below.
  • Visit the Blowholes, which create spectacular spouts of spray and noise during high seas, or walk along the freshwater springs.
  • Canoe, fish, water ski, pack a picnic or just relax at the Bridgewater Lakes. The limestone caves opposite the entrance are home to many bats and provide excellent views across Discovery Bay.
  • Swim at Bridgewater Bay and remember to stay between the red and yellow flags when the beach is patrolled.
  • Surf at Bridgewater Bay, Shelly Beach or Whites Beach.
  • Marvel at the massive sand dunes in the coastal wilderness of Discovery Bay Coastal Park.
  • Wander sections of the Great South West Walk to all the best natural attractions.
