Draft 2021/2022 Council Budget

At its meeting on 27 April 2021, Council endorsed the Draft Budget 2021/2022 ('the Draft Budget') for community consultation.

The $53 million budget includes a comprehensive $25.9 million capital works program to deliver on carry forward projects and new initiatives across the Shire.

This includes the completion of some of Council’s most significant projects, such as the implementation of the Portland Foreshore Masterplan, Cape Bridgewater Masterplan and Local Port of Portland Bay Masterplan.

Fees and charges have also been kept at a minimum with an increase of 1.5 per cent, as per State Government recommendations and consistent with CPI.
