What the Amendment does

The Glenelg Shire Council has prepared Amendment C106gelg to the Glenelg Planning Scheme.
The amendment proposes to implement relevant recommendations of the Glenelg Shire Planning Scheme Review 2018, Rural Land Strategy 2019, Portland Strategic Framework Plan 2020, Portland Rural Living Assessment 2020, and Glenelg Sustainable Settlement Strategy 2012, and correct mapping and ordinance anomalies.

Land affected by the Amendment

The amendment applies to approximately 17560 parcels of land throughout the Glenelg Shire. The amendment focuses on land in the urban areas of Portland, Tyrendarra, Condah, and rural land throughout the entire Shire.

Submissions

Any person who may be affected by the amendment may make a submission in writing to the planning authority. Submissions about the amendment must be received by 4 March 2022.

Status

Council resolved at the 26 April 2022 Council Meeting to refer all submissions received to a Planning Panel.

The Panel Hearing was held 11 July 2022. Members of the public were able to attend to observe in person or online.

Council resolved at the 27 September 2022 Council Meeting to accept the Panel recommendations and to adopt the amendment.
