Secondary School Immunisation sessions have been arranged for 2020. The vaccines that are currently provided to secondary school students free of charge under the National Immunisation Program are;
Year 7 Secondary school (or age equivalent, 12-13 years of age)
• Human papillomavirus (HPV) - 2 dose course
• Diphtheria- tetanus- pertussis - single dose
Year 10 Secondary School (or age equivalent)
• Meningococcal ACWY - single dose
Secondary school immunisation sessions are held at each school within the Glenelg Shire Council.
If your child has been absent from school during one of the immunisation sessions please contact your local GP to arrange a catch up vaccination.
When receiving immunisations from another provider (for example a local GP), please contact Council's Environmental Health Department on 5522 2229 to ensure our records are current and up to date. This will allow your child to continue to participate in the program.
