Rate Payment Dates

The rating year is from 1 July to 30 June each year. Annual rate notices are issued each year in August and payment is by four equal Instalments or one lump sum (full payment) amount.

Instalment payments are due four times a year. To be eligible to pay by instalments, you must pay the first Instalment in full on or before the due date.

Due Dates for 2021-2022

1st Instalment - due by 30 September 2021
2nd Instalment - due by 30 November 2021
3rd Instalment - due by 28 February 2022
4th Instalment - due by 31 May 2022

Lump sum (one payment)
15 February 2022

If you miss the due date for paying your rates you will be charged interest. Interest on unpaid rates, charges and levies will be calculated daily from the due date specified for payment. Interest will continue to accrue at 10% until payment of the rates, charges and levies is made in full.

Special Payment Arrangements

If you are having difficulties paying your rates, please contact the Rate Unit immediately on 03 5522 2210 or email to discuss alternative arrangements.

Alternatively, the Special Payment Arrangement form in the download links section below, may be completed and forwarded to the Rate Unit for approval.

Approval will only be granted as long as an acceptable amount is paid either on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

All enquiries are treated confidentially, and early communication from you may help prevent the commencement of costly legal action for the recovery of outstanding rates.
