MEDIA RELEASE - Craft sessions to hit the road

10 November 2017

Craft lovers across the Glenelg Shire are invited to share their tips and tricks as part of an upcoming roadshow of craft sessions.

The Glenelg Libraries are bringing free Crafternoon on the Road sessions to the townships of Merino, Heywood, Casterton and Digby during November and December.

Glenelg Shire Council Library and Information Services Manager Yvette Parker said participants of all ages and experience were welcome to attend the free events.

“The Glenelg Libraries are thrilled to partner with our local craft community groups to offer Crafternoon on the Road to all corners of the shire,” she said.

“This is the first time we have taken craft sessions to our smaller towns and we are looking forward to the chance to meet both budding crafters and crafter experts as part of the roadshow.

“Attendees will have the chance to create gorgeous handmade gift boxes, which will no doubt come in handy in the lead up to the festive season.

“I encourage all community members to come along to a session close to home, all materials are provided and you’ll leave with your very own gift box.”
