MEDIA RELEASE - STEAM activites are back at Glenelg Libraries

28 August 2018

Glenelg Libraries popular educational activities for children have returned to the library for semester three.

The STEAM activities are a creative approach to learning that uses science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics to teach logic and reasoning skills.

Library and information services manager Yvette Parker said the STEAM program, which was launched at the beginning of 2018 has been brought back for the Spring season, with a number of events lined up.

“The STEAM activities have been an instant success with all sessions booked out each time we run them,” Ms Parker said.

“The sessions offer hands-on activities that really excite the kids and get them thinking, collaborating and having fun, so it’s a great program offering variety, new technologies, skills development and problem solving.”
