Winter Solstice Fun Run

The Portland Winter Solstice Fun Run includes 3 scenic distances; 9km, 15km and 25km.

The 9km course showcases the best of the inner Portland running, including the Fawthrop Lagoon and Foreshore. The Winter Solstice classic 15km course runs from Cape Nelson Lighthouse to town via Scenic & Cape Nelson Roads. The Lighthouse to Lighthouse 25km course has the same start and finish as the 15km and runs along the sweet trails of the Great South West Walk.

Choose to run or walk the events and enjoy a carnival finish line with food, music, and a free 1km Kid's Dash.

Key Details

• Entry times - Online entries are open until midday Saturday 15th, limited opportunity for on the day entries.
• Late entries - All entries after May 18th attract the late entry price.
• Cut-off times - The courses close at 12:30pm, 25km race cutoff is therefore 4hrs
• Bib collection - will be from a central Portland location, TBC on Saturday 15th (2-5pm) or on the day from 7am (no later than 30minutes prior to event start/bus departure time.
• Buses - leave from the Ploughed Field, Bentnick St.  Be there no later than 15mins before your bus is scheduled to leave.
• Kids run - The FREE kids run takes place at approximately 11:30am at the Ploughed Field.  Its 1km long.
• 25KM - This is a 'no cup event', BYO water bottle/cup

Portland Runners Club proudly donates $2 per entry to Beats Cycle for Hope. Please note: courses are not suitable for prams or dogs.
