CEO Employment and Remuneration Committee

The employment cycle of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is a core responsibility of the elected Council.  

The CEO Employment & Remuneration Committee has responsibility for setting and reviewing remuneration and performance of the CEO. 

The Committee consists of: 

  • Chair - Mayor of the day
  • Elected Councillors of the day 
  • Independent Advisor 

The CEO Employment and Remuneration Policy sets out the operations of the committee and members. 

Expression of Interest - Independent Advisor

Expressions of Interests are invited from suitable candidates to fill the role of Independent Advisor.

As the Independent Advisor member of the CEO Employment & Remuneration Committee, you will: 

  • Perform an advisory role;  
  • Support Council in the development of an Annual Performance Plan for the CEO; 
  • Support the develop performance metrics for the CEO; 
  • Support the Council to conduct annual performance reviews and independently evaluate the performance of the CEO; 
  • Support Council in undertaking an annual remuneration review and mid-year progress update of the CEO; 
  • Support CEO feedback processes to Council on its performance.
