We have introduced a formal process for stormwater discharge point and drainage information requests. The decision to implement this process was taken to improve the level of service to customers and allow Council to provide existing infrastructure through a controlled process that ensures that applications are sought and that works are inspected in compliance with Council requirements. The Building Act and Regulations requires Council to provide information with respect to stormwater discharge points. Under the Local Government Act, land owners are required to drain their land to the satisfaction of the Council.
