Maternal and Child Health Services

Maternal and Child Health is a free service for all children aged from birth to 6 years, offering ten Key Age and Stage visits, as well as immunisation and additional targeted support if required.

The service is staffed by Maternal and Child Health Nurses (registered nurses with qualifications in midwifery, maternal and child health) and is managed by Portland District Health.

Portland District Health have successfully been appointed the shire’s new contractor of maternal and child health services, providing universal, enhanced and early childhood health and immunisation services.
