Report and Consent

Report and Consent from Council is needed when the design and siting of the building (class 1a) and associated garages/carports (class 10a) do not follow current Building Act or Regulations.

The reporting authority (Council) reviews the application to change regulations. If the application meets all the Ministers Guidelines, reporting authority grants consent.

If the application does not meet the Ministers Guidelines, reporting authority refuses consent.
