The Glenelg Shire Council is committed to the elimination of discrimination towards people with disabilities.

One and All Inclusive Events

We encourage you to improve accessibility to your event by becoming an One and All Inclusive Event.

Apply for an Accessible Parking Permit

A statewide Accessible Parking Permit scheme currently operates in Victoria.

Communication Boards

Communication Boards are available at all of our Customer Service Centres and some of our accessible playgrounds to allow for a varied communication method.

Assistance Animals

Glenelg Shire Council Respects the rights of owners with assistance animals to full access to the community

Beach Rollator

A beach rollator is available for free to hire, ensuring everyone in the community can have access to the beach.

Mobility Map

Locate accessible parking and toilets in the Glenelg Shire.

National Relay Service

If you are deaf and/or find it hard hearing or speaking with people who use a phone, the National Relay Service (NRS) can help you.

Concession Cards

There are a range of concession cards available to the community.

Autism 'Quiet Hour'

For community members and visitors to be aware of businesses in the Shire that are participating in Quiet Hour

Social Stories

Explaining social situations through concise words and pictures to lessen stress and anxiety and help people who find it difficult in new social situations.
