Anzac Day Commemorations

The following Anzac Day services will be held across the Glenelg Shire on 25 April 2024

PORTLAND
6.20am: March from RSL Sub-branch to the Memorial Triangle, 71 Cliff Street for Dawn Service
10.30am: March from RSL Sub-branch to the Memorial Triangle, 71 Cliff Street for Main Service at 11:00am

CASTERTON
10.00am: Wreath laying service at the Henty St Cenotaph. Followed by a march from the RSL to the Casterton Town Hall for commemorative service.

HEYWOOD
10.00am: March from the RSL to the Cenotaph in Edgar Street for a community service, followed by a light lunch.

NARRAWONG
6.30am: Service at the Cenotaph on the corner of Albert Rd and Windham St (near the CFA shed), followed by a BBQ breakfast at the Narrawong Mechanics Hall (gold coin donation).

MERINO
1.30pm: Service at the Cenotaph followed by a march to the Merino Town Hall where an afternoon tea will be held.

DIGBY
6.30am: Service at Memorial Park on the corner of Clark St and Simpson St, followed by a gunfire breakfast.

DARTMOOR
10.30am: March from the Dartmoor Hotel to the Dartmoor Town Hall for service with guest speaker followed by a light lunch.

NELSON
10.00am: A commemorative service will be held at the War Memorial at the Cemetery Gates, Huebners Rd followed by tea and coffee at the CFA Shed.
