FGSWW Group Walk - Monibeong Camp

Come and join the Friends of the Great South West Walk as we do a loop walk starting and ending at Monibeong Camp, nestled in the sand dunes behind the spectacular Discovery bay.

We will follow an inland route past Lake Monibeong and through the sanddunes to join the beach near Nobles Rocks carpark. After a short detour west to Nobles Rocks we will return to Monibeong along the beach.

The walk. which is 16 km in length with a difficulty rating of medium, is the Monibeong Loop walk, which features as walk no. 17 in the 'Short Walks on and around the Great South West Walk' book, with the added extension to Nobles Rocks.

We will meet at the carpark of the Portland Visitor Information Centre and leave to travel to Monibeong Camp at 8am.

Carpooling will be available.

All participants must register by 3pm on Sunday 24th September.
