To add to the repetoire of walks offered by the Friends of the Great South West Walk we are now offering a hike where participants carry their packs with absolutely everything then need for an overnight camping stop.
The first overnight hike will take place along the beautiful Glenelg River from Battersbys to Nelson. After meeting at the Portland Visitor Information Centre on February 13 for a 7am departure, we will carpool to Battersbys to start day one - 13km walk.
February 14 will set us up for a longer, but quite spectacular walk along the gorge, arriving in Nelson early afternoon.
