National Volunteer Week (NVW) is an annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers.
To pay tribute to all volunteers who help make our community stronger, the Glenelg Shire hosts Volunteer Recognition Receptions across the Shire during National Volunteer Week. We invite all volunteers within our community to come together and celebrate the valuable contribution they make. Each event includes food, entertainment and guest speakers.
The events are also a chance to pay tribute to some outstanding local achievers, with the presentations of the Glenelg Shire Community Awards.
Council will host Volunteer Week receptions between 19-25 May 2025 at locations across the Glenelg Shire, with full details below.
