Fire Danger Period in Glenelg Shire

The Fire Danger Period is now in force in Glenelg Shire, from Monday 20 November 2023.
During the period Council will only issue permits to burn where approval has been granted from the Country Fire Authority.

Apex Park

Apex Park sits on the bank of the Fitzroy River in Heywood. There is a playground and undercover shelters with BBQ facilities. There are toilet and water for drinking. There is plenty of shade and you can also park your car right next to the park.

There are plenty of eating establishments nearby for takeaway coffee and food that you can enjoy in the park.

The Glenelg Shire Council Customer Service Centre and Library is just across the road too.
