The Portland Botanic Gardens are a hidden tranquil beauty, established in the 1850s by William Allitt, one of the earliest botanic gardens in Australia. The gardens hold treasure to 300 varieties of roses and 130 varieties of dahlias.
The paths are wheelchair friendly and dogs on a leash are welcome. Continue your stroll through to the Lagoon or jump on the Portland Cable Tram stop located right at the front entrance.
