Anzac Day, 25 April, is one of Australia’s most important national occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.
Services are held throughout the Shire to commemorate our ANZAC heroes.

10:00am: Wreath laying service at Henty St Cenotaph. Followed by a march from the RSL to the Casterton Town Hall for a commemorative service.
10:20am: March from the Dartmoor Hotel to the Town Hall for a commemorative service
6:30am: Service at Memorial Park (corner of Clark St and Simpson St), followed by a gunfire breakfast at the Town Hall.
10:00am: March from the RSL to Cenotaph in Edgar Street for a commemorative service.
1:45pm: Service at the Cenotaph followed by a march to the Merino Town Hall for refreshments.
6:30am: Service at the Cenotaph (cnr of Albert Street and Windham Street), followed by a BBQ breakfast
10:00am: Commemorative service held at the War Memorial at the Cemetery Gates, Huebners Rd, followed by refreshments at the CFA Shed.
6:30am: March from RSL Sub-branch to the Memorial Triangle for Dawn Service.
10:45am: March from RSL Sub-branch to the Memorial Triangle for Main Service.
