Acclaimed author Alison Reynolds is no stranger to her many younger fans – but now she’s written her first adult-based novel and is coming to Casterton to discuss it.

Glenelg Libraries is proud to welcome Ms Reynolds to the Casterton Library on Wednesday, 29 November, to talk about The Near Daphne Experience, a comedy of letters like no other.

Ms Reynolds, who has family ties to the Western District, will chat about her new novel and share her journey from children’s author – with more than 80 published books – to adult fiction writer.

So what is The Near Daphne Experience all about?

Meet Daphne Buckley, a psychiatrist in search of a great love. He hasn't turned up yet. But surely, he will. He could be any one of the respondents to her old-fashioned 'looking for love' classified. He could be one of the men her overbearing mother tries to set her up with, or even someone she already knows. It doesn't matter.

Daphne is determined and brainy and prepared to bend all the rules. With old school friend Celeste by her side, love is likely just around the corner. Whether Daphne deserves it is another question. And with a psychopath and serial killer lurking, how far she'll go to get it is the biggest question of all.
