Glenelg Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced and qualified individuals to fulfil the role of Independent Member on the Audit and Risk Committee for a four-year term.

The Committee promotes strong corporate governance at Council and is responsible for providing independent assurance and oversight to Council on financial management and reporting, risk management, governance, internal controls, and assurance activities including internal and external audit and compliance with its policies and legal obligations.

We will value your strong skills which will complement our existing Committee Members with a sound understanding of principles of good organisational governance, financial management and reporting, risk management principles, internal audit operations, along with a high level of personal integrity and ethics.

The position offers the successful individual the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of Local Government.
