In celebration of World Autism Awareness Day, Council are hosting a FREE movie screening for the community this Sunday afternoon.
Come and help us celebrate people living with Autism with a screening of Adam Elliot's animated film, Mary and Max.
The screening will be sensory friendly with dimmed lights and. reduced audio volume.
Mary and Max is a film that believes in the power of human connection and friendship, and takes a cynical view of people’s often selfish attitudes towards others.
A crucial revelation in the film is the simple realisation that nobody’s perfect, and that we must love ourselves first, warts and all.
As Max puts it, ‘you can’t choose your warts, but you can choose your friends’.
