Glenelg Shire Youth Services is excited to announce the return of Battle of the Jams on Friday 16 January 2026, taking over the Hooked on Portland stage for an unforgettable evening of live music and emerging talent.
This highly anticipated event will feature 12 incredible acts from across the region, giving young musicians aged 12–25 the chance to shine and compete for amazing prizes, including $500 for first place and a performance spot at the Hooked on Portland main stage on Saturday 17 January.
Entries close Friday 19 December 2025, and spots are limited—so if you think you’ve got what it takes, apply now by emailing youthservices@glenelg.vic.gov.au.
Confirmed Line-Up So Far
- Gabriel Strachan – A 16-year-old singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Mt Gambier, blending jazz, pop, and classical influences with original compositions.
- Jasi Sierra – Portland-based singer-songwriter bringing heartfelt country and folk storytelling to the stage.
- Zoe Borthwick – An 18-year-old artist from Warrnambool, known for her soulful performances and festival experience, drawing inspiration from family and faith.
- Amelia Hulonce – Delivering smooth jazz favourites and original works with expressive vocals and acoustic guitar.
