Big News for Portland Library!

We’re delighted to announce that Portland Library has secured funding through the Victorian Government’s Living Libraries Infrastructure Program to install two innovative meeting pods!

Coming soon, these pods will provide private, secure spaces for:
✅ Remote workers
✅ Students
✅ Telehealth and online appointments

This upgrade will make it easier for our community to connect, work, and access online services in a modern, comfortable environment.

Mayor Cr Karen Stephens said:
"Libraries today are about much more than books – they are vital spaces for connection, learning, and innovation. These meeting pods will make Portland Library even more accessible and inclusive."

This funding is part of a $4 million investment into 18 libraries across Victoria, ensuring libraries remain community hubs for learning and digital access.
