CEO resignation

Glenelg Shire Council Chief Executive Officer Paul Phelan has resigned from the organisation.

Mr Phelan’s resignation was accepted by Councillors at a specially convened Council meeting today.

Mr Phelan, who was appointed in January 2023, has resigned for personal reasons.

“I would like to thank my Executive Team and all Council staff,” he said.

“They have my full backing for all the wonderful work they do on behalf of our community.”

Prior to his appointment as CEO, Mr Phelan was Council’s Director of Community Services and Director of Assets.

His last scheduled day of work is January 9, 2024.
