Council calls for urgent road repair
Published on 05 October 2022
Council is calling on the State Government to undertake urgent road repairs in South West Victoria as part of a new advocacy video.
In particular, the video highlights a section of the Princes Highway in Heywood which, for over 10 years, Council and community have been fiercely advocating to be repaired.
The road is completely broken, yet it is the home of a school drop off point, and experiences constant freight, tourism and local traffic.
The conditions of this roads, and other roads in our Shire, are in an appalling state and we doubt this would be acceptable anywhere else in Victoria.
Council is calling on the State Government to address this issue, for the safety of our school children and all other roads users.
