Discovering our wonderful marine life
Published on 27 October 2023
You’ve probably heard of pop-up shops, tents or even those annoying advertisements on the internet, but Portland Library will have a new take on the word soon.
In association with Museums Victoria, Glenelg Libraries is hosting a free pop-up museum on Friday, 3 November, between 4pm and 5pm.
Dive into the Portland Library to find out about the wonderful things that live on our beaches and swim in our oceans – imagine yourself as a marine biologist as you touch real objects from the Museums Victoria collections and learn about shells, sharks and ancient marine animals that lived millions of years ago.
The Pop-up Museum is free to visit and is suitable for ages 4 and up.
While the event is free, bookings are preferred – to do so phone 5522 2265 or send Glenelg Libraries a message on Facebook or Instagram.
