Glenelg Shire 2024 Community Awards nominations open

It’s time – to recognise an individual or community group that makes our Shire a great place to live and work.
Nominations for the new 2024 Glenelg Shire Community Awards are now open.
Help Council recognise and award those individuals and community groups for their commitment.
Categories for this year’s awards are:
- Senior Citizen of the Year
- Youth Citizen of the Year
- Community Group of the Year
- Diversity and Inclusion Award
- Outstanding Achievement Award
Contributions can be in any field including education, health, fundraising, charitable and voluntary services, sport, arts, environment, or any other area that contributes to the advancement and wellbeing of a community.

Hard copy nomination forms are available from the Portland and Casterton Customer Service Centres, Portland Library and Nelson Visitor Information Centre.
Nominations close 5pm, Friday 19 April, 2024.
Awards recipients will be contacted and officially presented with the awards at events during Volunteers Week in May.
