Portland poet returns home with new book
Published on 31 May 2024
Growing up in Garden Street, Portland, surrounded by a magnificent garden, it is probably not surprising that Jennifer Joy Kurtze developed a love of poetry.
Now Jennifer is returning to her home town for a morning of meditative poetry at the Portland Library, from her book, Where Love Is: Meditative Poems for Inspiration and Healing.
Born in Portland, Jennifer went on to teach meditation in Melbourne at the Council of Adult Education for many years.
She now facilitates meditation groups as a community service on the Bellarine Peninsula.
Published in November 2023, Where Love Is was inspired by Jennifer’s study, practice and teaching of meditation over several decades as well as her childhood memories of that magnificent garden.
Come and listen to Jennifer’s perspectives on poetry, meditation, inspiration and healing.
