Proposed changes to Strathdownie Drainage Scheme

Do you live in Strathdownie? You may be impacted by a potential change to the Strathdownie Drainage Scheme.
 
Council has proposed to declare a Special Charge for the purpose of defraying expenses associated with the Strathdownie Drainage Area.

Council hereby gives notice of its intention to consider the following motion at the Council Meeting to be held on Tuesday 28 June 2022:

  1. That a special charge be declared for the properties located in the constituted Strathdownie Drainage Area for the 2022/2023 financial year.
  2. That the special charge be declared for defraying any expenses in relation to the operation, maintenance, improvement, and administration of the Strathdownie Drainage Area which Council considers is of special benefit to those persons required to pay the Special Charge.
  3. That the total estimated revenue in 2022/2023 from the Special Charge be $16,000.00.
  4. That the Special Charge be due and payable by the 30 September 2022.

Council welcomes feedback on this proposal, and invites any affected households to provide a submission through our YourSay Glenelg website. Submitters will also have the opportunity to present before Council.

Submissions closes 5.00 pm, Wednesday 27 April 2022.
