Local road and safety upgrades will soon get underway thanks to funding from the Victorian Government through the Safe Local Roads and Streets Program.
The funding boost will support a range of targeted improvements starting in Portland, with initial works including:

“Roads are always a popular topic in our community and Council is constantly seeking opportunities to enhance our local road network. These works will deliver immediate benefits for our community, particularly around safety and all-important pedestrian access,” said Glenelg Shire Mayor Cr Karen Stephens.
“We thank the Victorian Government for this important and timely investment. Council looks forward to delivering these upgrades and will continue to keep the community informed as works progress across further locations.”
