Share your thoughts on the Heywood Library

Calling local library lovers – your thoughts and ideas are required!
Glenelg Libraries is inviting the community to have their say and help shape the future of library services in the region, with a focus on revitalising the Heywood Library.
Tanya Flockhart, Glenelg Shire’s Manager Libraries and Arts, said early feedback was essential to ensure that any future upgrades met the needs and expectations of Heywood, and the wider Glenelg Shire community.
“Glenelg Libraries has developed a multi-year Strategic Plan, and a priority project within the Plan is the revitalisation of the Heywood Library. While well-located, the facility requires additional investment to fulfil its potential as a vibrant, connected community hub,” she explained.
“Which is where we want to hear from you – what do you want to see at the Heywood Library? We want to hear from members of all ages and interests on the Library’s services, facilities, programs, opening hours and more.
“Your input will assist in developing funding applications for potential future projects to revitalise our Heywood Library.”
Surveys are available online via the YourSay Glenelg website and in hard copy from the Heywood Library, with copies also available at the Portland and Casterton libraries upon request.
Survey submissions close 15 August 2025.
