Glenelg Shire residents were invited to have their say on how future Council rates are calculated, following a motion by Glenelg Shire Councillors to explore a transition to a differential rating structure.
The Draft Differential Rating Discussion Paper(PDF, 373KB) provides background and details surrounding the current rating structure of the Glenelg Shire, and suggestions on alternative rating options.
The discussion paper follows the adoption of Council's Rating and Revenue Plan, which outlined the intention of Council to transition from a rebate to a differential rating method.
Feedback on this document has now closed.
Councillors will consider this discussion paper at the June Council Meeting.
