Waste Management Transfer Station Fees 2026-2027
From 10 August 2026, some waste management fees at Glenelg Shire Council transfer stations will increase.

➡️ Tips to help reduce disposal costs
✅ Use your green bin for garden waste and food scraps where available.
✅ Sort materials before visiting the transfer station. Items such as scrap metal, cardboard, recyclables and garden waste may be accepted through alternative disposal or recovery streams.
✅ Separate materials where safe to do so. Recovering recyclable materials can reduce the amount sent to landfill.
✅ Check Council's waste and recycling information before visiting to ensure your load is sorted correctly.
By sorting waste appropriately and making use of available recycling and recovery services, residents and businesses can help reduce disposal costs and minimise waste sent to landfill.
