Bird flu has been detected in the Glenelg Shire.AVOID contact with sick or dead birds, RECORD what you see and REPORT it to DEECA online or the Emergency Animal Disease hotline on 1800 675 888.
Come along and experience community giving in action at SharkPitch 2026, United Way Glenelg’s live community crowdfunding event.
Three local organisations will take to the stage, each with just six minutes to share their project, tell their story and inspire the community to get behind them.
This year’s pitchers are:
Glenelg and Southern Grampians Local Learning and Employment Network (GSGLLEN) – creating employment opportunities for local young people.
Portland Citizens Brass Band – helping secure the future of an important community asset and keeping music alive for future generations.
Seaview House Residential Care – improving safety and wellbeing for older members of our community.
Come along, hear their stories and cheer them on. There is no obligation to donate – your attendance and applause are just as important.
