The Island Park recreation Reserve boasts facilities for many of Castertons sporting activities, including, football, netball, tennis, cricket, bowling, croquet and little athletics. In the reserve you will also find a Swimming Pool which you can read about here.
There is also a modern playground including climbing frames as well as an area suitable for younger children. The playground can be enjoyed with the picnic table seated beneath the large gum trees and peaceful scenery.
BMX riders can put their skills to the test with the inclusion of a new pump track. The customised asphalt track offers a continuous loop of bumps and turns for bikes, scooters, skateboards and roller-blades.
A half basketball court is also a recent addition, highlighting Island Park as a premier active precinct in the Glenelg Shire and the south west region.
