Hooked on Portland Festival
Hooked on Portland is a free festival held over the January long weekend. The event will return in 2022 on 23 April and 24 April, ready to once again offer a full weekend of premier entertainment, activities and experiences for the whole family!
The event celebrates Portland as a coastal centre, and a thriving fishing and tourism hotspot.
Stretching along the Portland Foreshore the free event, hosted in partnership with council and the Victorian Fisheries Authority features entertainment and activities for all ages.

2022 Entertainment Line-Up
It’s the return of music and food favourites for Hooked on Portland 2022!
Television chef Paul West and Melbourne based rock/folk duo Pierce Brothers will once again headline the festival’s free entertainment offerings.
Paul West of River Cottage Australia fame will appear at the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA) Catch and Cook stage, supported by fishing television personality Lee Rayner to provide cooking and filleting demonstrations, and to discuss the importance of sustainability and sourcing regional supplies.
Paul will work with local chefs to provide a showcase of recipes using local produce from Yumbah Aquaculture and Portland Raspberries. Paul will be joined by Matt Lipscombe on the VFA Catch & Cook Stage for two demonstration session at 11am and 2pm and inbetween will hang out in the Bonney Bar to chat to festival goers about the dishes prepared that you can purchase from Clock by the Bays food stand in the Bonney Bar.
Chanel 10BOLD celebrity Lee Rayner will also appear on the VFA Catch & Cook Stage to show his skills and teach festival goers how to perfectly fillet fish and provide cooking demonstration of local caught seafood.
The Pierce Brothers will headline the live music stage, supported by Western Vic locals The Settlement, Flynn Gurry and Dean Outtram and Damon Yuill for over five hours of live music entertainment on Portland’s beachfront starting at 2pm.
Gizmo the Great will roam through the festival provide magic tricks and circus entertainment in multiple live shows and Wicked Wildlife will showcase all things living in the reptile display where you can come and hold a snake and pat a crocodile. Free face painting, plaster arts and kids activities through the day will make this years festival one to remember.
