Glenelg Shire Council is seeking expressions of interest for Recruitment Consultants and an Independent Advisor as Council begins the process of recruiting its next Chief Executive Officer.
Expressions of Interest for Recruitment Consultant Services – CEO Recruitment
Expressions of Interest are being sought from Recruitment Consultants to assist Glenelg Shire Council’s CEO Employment and Remuneration Committee in the recruitment and selection processes for the CEO.
The successful agency will work with the Committee to advertise, review the position description, shortlist, and assist with interviews and selection of suitable candidate.
Expressions of Interest need to address the following criteria:
- Organisational availability, capability and capacity including experience / qualifications of team members to undertake the recruitment process;
- Proposed methodology including demonstrated understanding of recruitment services and the proposed approach including timeframes;
- Past performance including recent examples of recruitment at the senior executive /chief executive officer level with local government industry experience an advantage.
- Submissions must include either a fixed price or an hourly rate with estimation of hours and any additional costs as well as an outline of the consultants preferred process.
Expressions of Interest for an Independent Advisor – CEO Recruitment
Expressions of Interest are also being sought for an Independent Advisor to assist the Committee in the CEO recruitment and selection processes.
The Independent Advisor will work with the Committee and appointed external recruitment agency during the process.
The Independent Advisor must possess and demonstrate the following key competencies:
- Senior leadership and/or local government experience;
- Human resources management (including executive recruitment, remuneration and talent management);
- Understanding of good governance and previous experience working with Governance bodies or Boards; and
- Ability to work effectively with Councillors.
Expressions of Interest need to address the following criteria:
- Availability, capability and capacity including experience and qualifications to assist the Committee to undertake the recruitment process;
- Past experience including recent examples of working with recruitment consultants and/or government boards with local government CEO or executive experience an advantage;
- Submissions must include either a fixed price or an hourly rate.
