Satisfaction survey due to open

Glenelg Shire residents are invited to share their views on Council’s performance as part of an upcoming survey.

The 2023 Local Government Community Satisfaction Survey will commence from 30 January and will involve phone surveys to randomly selected households in the Shire.

The survey has been commissioned by the Victorian Government on behalf of all Victorian councils. It is designed to assess the performance of the Glenelg Shire and identify ways to provide improvement or more effective service delivery to residents.

Mayor Cr Scott Martin encouraged households to take part in the survey.

“From the 30th January, you may receive a call from an independent agency, National Field Services, who has been commissioned to undertake the survey.  We assure residents these are not spam calls - we encourage anyone who receives a survey call to please share their valuable feedback,” Cr Martin said.

“The agency will ask you to provide your thoughts on a range of council services, such as community consultation, roads, waste, customer service and overall council performance.

“The annual community satisfaction survey is an important check-in, the data we receive at the end of the survey shapes our forward planning, highlighting which areas need improvement. Your honest responses will only help improve your local Council and the services we provide.”

Cr Martin assured residents that all responses would remain confidential.                                                                                            

“Council will only receive the overall results from the survey company, any personal details and individual responses will remain confidential,” she said.

“If you have any questions during the survey period, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Customer Service team.”
