The Portland Drill Hall is a historic building that was built in 1887 and is registered by the Heritage Council of Victoria. The area has been restored into a beautiful blank canvas that is an ideal space for weddings, family gatherings and balls and has been home of many local weddings and special events.

The Drill Hall is a great location to hold your function with something to suit everyone. The venue is walking distance to town, and a bus stop located nearby. The hall is situated next door to the Portland Arts Centre and Glenelg Shire Council Municipal Office.

The Hall is beautifully designed with a small kitchenette to the side. The kitchen has a small bench space and fridge for use.

New parking bays, pedestrian pathways and additional wheelchair access have recently been added to the carpark, improving the accessibility of the Hall.

Bookings can be made up to 12 months in advance. Please complete a Booking Request Form to check availability.

To book the Drill Hall please contact the Portland Customer Service Team (all bookings require terms and conditions, risk management plan, & public liability).
